2008-2009 Product Validation Pilot:
Activity Works in the Classroom
Over the 2008-2009 academic year, Activity Works was launched in 38 classrooms across five school districts in Long Island, New York. During the IRB-approved Evaluation Study, North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System sought to measure the impact of the program's proprietary kinetic protocol on approximately 800 children in grades 1 through 3.
At the conclusion of the year-long trial, teachers reported high satisfaction levels. In particular, they noted lasting effects beyond the duration of the exercise, citing:
- Better Classroom Behavior: Post-exercise behavior was notably improved as students were provided a means by which to burn off excess energy.
- Renewed Focus: Educational content is fun, while encouraging healthy choices.
- Enhanced Performance: After burning off excess energy, students are recharged, refreshed and ready to learn.
Educators attributed the above effects to the professionally developed program content, quality production and student-based tracking and reward structure, reporting that students were eager to participate in their daily Activity Works adventures.
All five pilot districts have since adopted the program.

A Nod to Convenience
In addition to praising the academic affects of the program, teachers gave high marks for convenience.
Activity Works is a complete plug-and-play solution, requiring little to no set-up time.
Teachers simply hit "play" on the CD or DVD player and off students go.
